Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Position: Receptionist with Mayfield Community Resource Centre and Administrative Assistant with Mayfield Matters Newsletter (CE Scheme)
This is a part-time position - 19.5 hours per week under the Community Employment Programme.
Duties will include:- Dealing with queries both on the telephone and in person in the Resource Office.
- Carrying out administrative tasks such as photocopying, binding, laminating and printing.
- Typing of C.V.s, projects, reports and minutes of meetings.
- Supporting the community groups who use the centre’s facilities.
- Working with the CDP Team on gathering stories, articles, poetry and advertisements for the bi-monthly community newsletter Mayfield Matters.
- Learning to use Microsoft Publisher computer package to create each issue of the newsletter.
- Attending editorial meetings.
- Assisting the CDP Team in the printing, distribution and delivery of approximately 2,000 newsletters.
- Other tasks that may arise in the course of the work.
*Experience in social media for the workplace is desirable but not essential*.
