Financial Accountant (€70k - €80k)

Key Responsibilities:
- Produce weekly KPI reports on plant performance, energy generation, and cost efficiency.
- Manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes for both facilities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and financial performance packs.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial modelling.
- Support operational teams with financial insights, budgeting, and forecasting for plant performance and efficiency projects.
- Collaborate with the Head Office Finance Team on consolidation, reporting, and financial system improvements.
- Ensure compliance with FRS102 and internal financial controls.
- Prepare capital expenditure tracking reports for ongoing projects, project accounting, and cost control for maintenance and expansion projects.
- Core cost tracking and profit maximisation.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decisions and operational planning.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualified or Finalist Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in FRS102 reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- 2 +years PQE in an industrial, utilities, or renewable energy setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with ongoing support from the Head Office Finance Team.
- Comfortable in a collaborative, cross-functional work environment and dealing with operational teams.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car are required for commuting to the facility sites.
