Application Details

This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance.

Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.

Job Description

The participant will be supported to assist and learn the daily operations of a busy office
environment. There is no previous experience required for this role. The participant will have the
opportunity to learn research skills and administrative tasks. The role will involve working as part of a

team.

Candidates will gain practical experience while assisting and learning in the following tasks:
  • Supporting the team, clients and business with general administration jobs including putting
together newsletters and emails.
  • Assisting with office admin tasks, including computer tasks
  • Following up with clients.
  • Assisting with social media platforms/content/preparation and follow up.
  • Assisting with research, development and business development
Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was
developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social

Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
