Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate work in a production facility, using the most advanced, energy-efficient technology, creating a range of exceptional products.This role will play a key part in maintaining plant reliability, managing contractors, and guiding engineers and technicians across a busy maintenance environment. Lead Mechanical Engineer
Location: Drogheda, Co.LouthWork Model: 5 days onsite
Type: Permanent
Role- Lead maintenance activity across a defined plant area
- Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance plans
- Direct contractors and guide junior engineers and technicians
- Plan shutdowns and major overhauls
- Troubleshoot failures and improve equipment reliability
- Support and deliver large-scale plant improvement projects
- Maintain and improve safety and environmental standards
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Min 5 years experience in mechanical engineering within Ireland
- Strong background in heavy industry, utilities, cement, quarry, mining, or large-scale manufacturing
- Proven experience leading people, contractors, or engineering teams
- Solid understanding of reactive and preventative maintenance
- Ability to plan downtimes, manage resources, and deliver projects
- Confident communicator who can influence and guide others
- Full right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship offered)
- Residing within a commutable distance of the site
- Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
