About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Content Policy Manager to join a Corporate Communications & Public Policy team supporting a global technology platform. This role operates at the intersection of content policy, regulatory compliance, and international human rights, with a focus on responding to regulatory obligations and managing complex policy escalations.
You will coordinate cross-functional responses to regulatory inquiries and content decisions, ensuring alignment with local regulatory frameworks, freedom of expression principles, and operational realities. The role requires sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments.Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate efforts to respond to regulatory obligations across the Content Policy organisation
- Draft high-quality responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to content policies and compliance strategy
- Support the preparation of regulatory Transparency Reports
- Manage regulatory escalations, including issues relating to freedom of expression
- Provide policy advice to senior stakeholders, balancing legal, regulatory, human rights, and operational considerations
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners, including Legal, Compliance, Public Policy, Human Rights, Communications, Content Policy, and Trust & Safety teams
- Act as an escalation point of contact for sensitive policy issues and manage internal communications
- Participate in on-call rotations within the local timezone, with occasional irregular hours
- 6+ years of experience in tech policy, law, integrity compliance, human rights, government, or risk management, preferably in a technology or platform environment
- Experience working on internet or social media content issues
- Strong understanding of platform content policies and enforcement standards
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Proven experience working cross-functionally and building consensus among diverse stakeholders
- Strong understanding of large-scale technology products and guiding principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
