Project Director - Construction, FMCG
We are recruiting a Project Director to join our Industrial & Manufacturing team and lead a €100M+ multi‑year capital programme for a global FMCG client. This role offers the opportunity to shape major strategic assets and work on hyperscale industrial projects within a collaborative and ambitious team.
Your mission: deliver a future‑ready facility offering sustainable cost advantage, operational resilience, strong ESG performance and advanced digital capability.
Your Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership:
- Programme Delivery:
You steer multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, automation, digital, quality, HSE and operations, ensuring seamless delivery from design to commissioning and start‑up. You manage EPC/EPCm partners, OEMs and technology suppliers, applying strong programme controls to keep the project on track.

You manage relationships with regulators, authorities, communities and sustainability partners, while leading communication and change management across the programme.
You have…- 15+ years of experience leading large‑scale capital programmes (€50M–€200M+) in FMCG, food or similar process‑driven industries.
- Strong technical grounding in engineering design, construction, utilities, food‑safety systems, commissioning and validation.
- Proven expertise delivering EPC / EPCm programmes, managing complex contract strategies and multi‑vendor environments.
- A solid understanding of digital manufacturing platforms, including MES, automation, data and control systems
- A confident leader with executive presence, able to engage effectively at Board/ExCom level.
- Experienced in steering complex, multi‑year programmes in demanding environments.
- Skilled at managing diverse suppliers and stakeholders.
- Strong in building and mobilising operations teams for new industrial assets.
- Manage large CAPEX budgets with discipline and strategic insight.
- Lead high‑value contract negotiations and handle commercial risks.
- Apply strong programme controls to ensure delivery on time, on budget and on scope.
