Position: Senior Risk Manager – Asset Management
Location: Dublin
A leading Dublin-based asset management company is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join its growing Risk Management team. The firm, part of a wider European financial services group, manages UCITS and AIF funds across Ireland and Luxembourg, with over €30bn in assets under management.This is a permanent position, reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer and working across investment and operational risk functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and enhance the firm’s investment risk management framework across multiple asset classes and risk types (market, credit, liquidity, ESG).
- Conduct independent quantitative analysis and provide risk insights to senior management.
- Perform risk controls and analysis including Absolute/Relative VaR, Commitment Approach, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Lead risk input on new product launches and fund risk reviews.
- Act as a key point of contact for investment teams regarding risk framework interpretation and application.
- Support the development and reporting of sustainability risk assessments.
- Prepare performance attribution and contribution reports.
- Present to the Risk Committee and collaborate with internal and group risk functions.
Skills & Experience:
- 7–10 years’ experience in investment/fund risk, asset management or related financial services roles.
- Strong technical background with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with fund risk systems and reporting tools (e.g., FactSet, Morningstar, PRIIPs KID reports).
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline.
- Professional certifications (CFA, FRM, PRM) preferred or interest in pursuing.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
