The client specialises in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a talented and experienced IT Operations Manager to join our team in Dublin
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the relationship with our outsourced IT providers (Managed Service Providers – MSPs), ensuring service delivery aligns with business needs, act as the internal bridge between the MSPs and the company, monitoring performance, while contributing to IT strategy and governance and taking the lead on infrastructure projects
Key Responsibilities- Serve as internal liaison between the business and the MSP
- Monitor MSP performance against SLAs and escalate issues as needed
- Coordinate internal IT initiatives, projects and escalations with the MSP
- Maintain oversight of IT infrastructure, security, and compliance—ensuring MSP adherence
- Lead on infrastructure projects such as network upgrades, server migrations and cloud transitions
- Monitor system performance
- Track and report on IT metrics, user satisfaction, and service improvements
- Assist in IT asset management, including hardware lifecycle and software licensing
- Contribute to IT policy development and ensure adherence
- Participate in strategic IT planning and MSP review meetings
- Manage documentation upgrade on all processes, systems and registers
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT coordination, service delivery and vendor management
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret technical issues and translate them for non-technical audiences
- Experience working with or within an MSP environment
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint and endpoint management tools
- Previous experience managing vendor relationships and service escalations
- Project management experience, including coordinating cross-functional IT initiatives
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process improvement
- ‘Can do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck into work at whatever level required.
