Financial Accountant - Cork

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a leading Construction company based in Cork on a 12-month FTC
The successful candidate will report into Financial controller and will be responsible for managing and delivering on all responsibilities to ensure best practice in the financial management of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and annual accounts for Group entities including associated reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Post and process journal entries, invoices, receipts and payments to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Produce and analyse cash flow forecasts including variance analysis reporting.
- Support the relevant monthly reporting requirements with credit providers and senior management.
- Play a key role in the preparation and compilation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Daily supervision and monthly reconciliation of the bank and cash balances.
- Oversee and manage VAT returns.
- Supporting Accounts Payable in the processing and monitoring of supplier and subcontractor invoicing.
- Develop a working relationship with key business stakeholders and work closely and assist Procurement, Accounts Payable and site management teams.
- Support the Finance team in driving the use of digital technology solutions in our reporting.
- Other ad hoc or financial reporting requirements that may arise.
Requirements:
- You will be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
- You will have 1-2 years PQE
- You will have excellent IT / financial systems knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in construction or manufacturing is a significant advantage
- Availability to commence employment within a month
