Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
You can register your interest by selecting the ‘Register your interest’ button or you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Position will be based at Women's Aid refuge on Avenue Road Dundalk. Duties include working as part of a committed team providing a range of supports and services to women who have experienced domestic abuse and who are resident at the refuge.This could range from basic admi support/help with application forms to helping and assisting with other training and support programmes/events or simply providing emotional support for service users as they aim to rebuild trust and self confidence.
This is a wonderful development opportunity for anyone interested in a career in social care as full in house support and mentoring is provided. There is also the opportunity to avail of funded professional training up to major award level which could significantly improve long term career prospects in this area following CE placement.
