Head Chef - Production Unit

Are you an experienced and driven culinary professional ready to lead a high performing production kitchen? Our team is seeking a Production Unit Head Chef to oversee operations, maintain exceptional standards, and guide a dedicated team in delivering consistent, high quality food for our Unit based in Tallaght, Dublin.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a high volume production kitchen or similar environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a kitchen team.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, and compliance standards.
  • Completion of Food Safety Level 3 ( or higher desirable).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage production schedules, workflow, and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions focused mindset.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours as required by production demands.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the daily culinary operations within a high volume production unit, ensuring smooth, efficient workflow at all times.
  • Deliver consistently high quality foods while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Provide strong leadership to kitchen staff through mentorship, training, performance development, and clear communication.
  • Uphold rigorous food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership and operational teams to shape and execute culinary strategies, process improvements, and innovation initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage food costs, inventory, waste reduction, and overall kitchen efficiency.
  • Ensure all food production aligns with sustainability goals, dietary needs, and allergen management protocols.
  • Develop and implement new menu offerings that elevate the food experience for clients and employees.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and productive kitchen environment by leading through example.
  • Participate actively in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of kitchen staff.

Ideal Candidate

Experience: Proven background as a Head Chef within a hotel, restaurant, production kitchen, or corporate catering environment.
Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with a strong focus on quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of food safety, HACCP, quality control, cost management, and menu development.

Education: Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience preferred.
