HVAC Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems (e.g., chillers, air handling units, cold rooms, split units, compressors, and related infrastructure).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, FDA, HPRA).
• Respond promptly to system faults and emergencies during shift coverage.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately, including work orders, calibration logs, and service records in line with SOPs and quality protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Facilities, QA, and Production to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in audits, validation activities, and inspections as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration, HVAC, or Mechatronics (FETAC Level 6 or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a similar role within a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or healthcare).
• Solid understanding of environmental and safety regulations (EPA, H&S, etc.).
• Experience working with BMS systems and HVAC controls (advantageous).
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days/nights/weekends as per roster).
