The role requires reviewing, developing, and implementing stock control, handling, and distribution policies to maximise the efficient use of warehouse space, financial resources, labour, and other assets. Advising the purchasing team on the type, quality, and quantity of goods required, along with setting deadlines for their availability, is also a key aspect.
Additionally, preparing expenditure reports and providing recommendations on materials standardisation and future stock control policies form a critical part of this position. Decisions on appropriate storage conditions for specific items, effective allocation of warehouse space, and arranging regular stock inspections to identify any signs of deterioration or damage are essential responsibilities to support the overall efficiency and quality of Bond Freeze’s storage and distribution operations.
