Application Details

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Job Description

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

• Assist in preparation of a nutritious meal to our Day Centre and Meals on wheels members .
• . Wash up and correct storage of kitchen equipment
• Partake in cleaning rota for the kitchen and signing of cleaning sheets
• Plating of dinners for inhouse dining according to members preferences and requests
• Plating of meals-on-wheels dinners & deserts according to members preferences and requests
• Sealing of all food in preparation for meals-on-wheels
• Work with care assistants and assist with the general operation of the centre when required.
• Adhere to food safety standards for delivery, storage, preparation & cooking
• Organising laundry
• Work as part of a team.
• Attend training when required.

Any other duties assigned by Line Manager/Management Team.
