IT Project Manager - Contract

Our client is looking for an IT Project Manager on a contract basis to lead a software implementation project.

Please note this is a Cork based role.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements. Conduct gap analysis and define functional/non-functional specs.
• Work with consultants to translate business needs into technical specifications, workflows, data mappings, and integrations.
• Plan and manage integrations with existing systems (CRM, ERP, policy admin, finance). Oversee data migration, cleansing, and validation.
• Act as primary point of contact, run workshops, deliver updates, and manage UAT and training.
• Develop test plans, manage UAT, track issues, and ensure defects are resolved.
• Identify operational impacts, create training materials, deliver training, and support post-launch hypercare.
• Maintain clear project docs, process flows, and status reports. Provide lessons learned and closure reports.

Requirements:

• 5+ years as an IT Project Manager, ideally within the software implementation space
• Hands-on experience with integrations
• Skilled with business process modelling
• Experienced in requirements gathering
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall
• Proficient in project tools
• Proven ability to manage timelines, risks, and deliverables
• Understanding of insurance/finance systems
• SQL and Data modelling skills are a plus
