SAFETY COORDINATOR, PSCS (PROJECT SUPERVISOR CONSTRUCTION STAGE) required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Life Sciences client at their facility in Limerick.

- Initial 12 month contract on offer and site presence required, at least 4 days per week.
- Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) and proven track record of managing safety and health during the construction phase.
- Develop and update the Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan.
NOTE: No sponsorship is provided for this role so applicants need to already have Irish / EU citizenship OR the relevant Stamp / Visa in place.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety and Health Plan Development:
- Develop and update the Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan.
- Ensure the plan is implemented effectively throughout the construction phase.
- Coordination and Compliance
- Coordinate the implementation of the Construction Regulations.
- Organize cooperation between contractors and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all contractors comply with safety regulations and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with safe work procedures and conduct regular site inspections.
- Communication and Reporting
- Notify the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) before work commences, if applicable.
- Coordinate the reporting of accidents and incidents to the HSA.
- Ensure all workers have SafePass and other relevant CSCS cards and training.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing safety and health during the construction phase.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety and health plans.
- A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Extensive knowledge of the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations
