Hospital Chef – Healthcare Catering | Dublin 3
We are recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to work in a healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 3. The role involves preparing nutritious meals that support patient care and daily clinical operations.
The workplace is accessible via Clontarf Road and Killester DART stations, as well as multiple Dublin Bus routes.
The Role
You will work as part of a healthcare catering team, ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and service of meals in line with clinical and dietary requirements.
Main Duties
Prepare and present meals in accordance with clinical dietary guidelinesWork across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, preparation, plating and service areas
Maintain food quality, portion control and presentation standards
Follow HACCP, cook-chill, food safety and hygiene procedures
Manage stock rotation, labelling, storage and waste control
Ensure allergen compliance at all times
Work with dietitians and healthcare staff as required
Maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment
Requirements
QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualificationExperience as a Hospital Chef or Healthcare Catering Chef
Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems
Legal right to work in Ireland
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references
Strong organisational and teamwork skills
