Line Maintenance Manager New

The Line Maintenance Manager is responsible for:

  • The overall management of the Line Maintenance Department under EASA Part 145;
  • Notifying the Accountable Manager whenever deficiencies emerge which require his attention in respect of finance and the acceptability of standards.
  • Ensure Safety Management System reports are review and processed IAW procedures;
  • The implementation of the safety policy and human factor issues;
  • Identification/implementation of Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions
  • or any compliance deficiencies arising from audits;
  • Ensuring that all line maintenance including line defect rectification is carried out to the standards specified.
  • Ensuring that the organisation's procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance;
  • The availability of sufficient competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify the work being performed;
  • Ensuring the competency of all personnel engaged in maintenance;
  • Establishing a program of training and continuation training using internal and/or external sources;
  • The availability of facilities appropriate to the planned work including hangars, workshops office accommodation, stores as applicable for the planned work;
  • Production planning system appropriate to the amount and complexity of the maintenance scope of work;
  • The availability of tools, equipment and materials to perform the planned tasks;
  • The availability of all necessary maintenance data;
  • Recording and notifying any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel;
  • Qualifications for the position
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate
  • position.
  • A relevant aeronautical degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification (EASA Part
  • 66 License)
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe
  • operating practices.
  • Knowledge of the aircraft through formalised training courses.
  • Knowledge of maintenance methods.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations both EASA and UK CAA.
