Job Type: Temporary until the end of the yearSalary: €32 p/h
Location: Dublin 4 – Hybrid
Here at Osborne, our client is seeking a motivated and strategic Project Manager to join their team. This key role will be responsible for managing a number of programmes and work streams across various departments within the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Managing, or assisting in managing, the delivery of projects through the various stages of a project life cycle, from concept development to completion of implementationOverseeing, or assisting in overseeing, the delivery of funded capital projects and programmes
Undertaking reviews of project proposals and determining their progression
Monitoring performance of external service providers and delivery agencies
Ensuring project designs and tender documentation meet project requirements
Overseeing and reporting on project and programme expenditure
Arranging and overseeing the appraisal of projects including review of business cases, economic analyses, financial appraisals for capital projects
Ensuring compliance of funded projects with national policies including planning and procurement policies
Preparing and presenting regular progress / expenditure reports
Assisting in the development and implementation of internal and external systems, procedures and guidance documentation
Assisting in the development of strategies and related implementation programmes
Manage and update CPU databases
Management and development of junior staff within the unit
Undertaking analyses for the purpose of identifying suitable higher education investment proposals
Manage the requisition and disbursement of funding, annual profiling, and regular reporting, for individual projects and programme
Undertaking and contributing to other projects or tasks and any other duties assigned by the Senior Manager
Essential Requirements:
A NFQ Level 7 qualification in relevant subjectsA minimum of 3 years satisfactory experience
Desirable:
Have good experience in the project appraisal, design development, construction delivery stages of capital projects, with a good knowledge of current relevant guidelines, technical specifications and sustainability
Good project, programme and budget management skills across projects and programmes
Have superior report writing and data management skills together with an ability to produce high quality analysis and reportingBe a self-starter and have strong organisational, communication, problem solving, analytical, people management, negotiation, interpersonal and presentational skills
IT proficient with excellent working knowledge of MS packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Knowledge and experience of relevant regulations policies and guidelines
Experience with use of software packages such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS
