Location: Hybrid (Head Office & Project Sites, UK, Ireland & Europe)

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to take full accountability for the delivery of high-value projects across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. This strategic leadership role includes overseeing project delivery, managing the construction department, supporting business development, and maintaining the highest levels of client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Lead the department and construction teams, driving operational excellence, cost control, and profitability.
  • Work as part of the senior management team, taking a “whole company” perspective.
  • Present departmental reports and updates to the Board and senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and decision-makers.
  • Identify commercial risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
Project Planning
  • Develop detailed project programmes, identifying critical paths and key milestones.
  • Implement robust resourcing strategies, including sourcing skilled labour for European projects.
  • Plan project logistics such as travel, accommodation, work permits, and local Health & Safety compliance.
  • Visit new project locations to assess suppliers and site conditions.
Project Execution
  • Oversee preparation of safety documentation, risk assessments, and QA plans.
  • Ensure designs are compliant with specifications and Bills of Quantities.
  • Record and report key site events promptly to safeguard the company’s position.
  • Maintain senior visibility on project sites and engage with clients throughout delivery
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years in a senior management role, preferably in building envelopes, roofing, cladding, or façade sectors. (This is essential for consideration.)
  • Construction-related degree or equivalent; Construction Science or Engineering degree preferred.
  • Proven record of delivering medium to large-scale projects successfully.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing, cladding, and façade construction methods and safety requirements.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in budget management and business development.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple projects.
  • Client-focused with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.
  • Current driver’s licence and fluent in English.
  • Must be based in the UK, Ireland, or Mainland Europe.
