Purpose of the Role
Business Data Analyst, Uniphar Medtech.
Please note this is a fixed term contract role for 11 months.
Uniphar Medtech recognise data as a key business asset.
The data analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analysing, interpreting and communicating actionable data insights (anomalies, trends, patterns) to commercial and operations teams through reports, visualisations and presentations.The insights will inform and drive business improvement efforts.
The business data analyst will use data extraction, analysis and presentation tools such as Python, Jet Reporting, Jet Analytics, Power BI and AI to deliver on the above responsibilities.
The data analyst will support many business units (BUs) across Medtech.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
This job description is not an exhaustive list but provides an indication of the main duties and responsibilities of the position.- Collaborate with requestors to design, develop and implement data reports and visualizations to communicate data insights to commercial and operations teams with drill down capability by BU (turn raw data into information).
- Develop and maintain data reports and visualisations (to include dashboards) to enable self-service by end users (in time).
- Generate, monitor and analyse key process and performance metrics (KPIs) to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for business improvement.
- Collaborate with end users to identify key business questions to help provide actionable insights to support business decision making.
- Stay up to date with the latest data extraction, analysis (to include AI) and visualization techniques and tools to continuously improve data insights.
- Support ERP project team with the migration of key reports, metrics and dashboards onto the new ERP system that is planned.
- Use of SQL, Python or equivalent to extract, clean and analyse datasets from various data sources.
Role Requirements
Essential:
- Hold a valid working permit (if applicable)
- Full Clean Driving license.
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Good numerical skills
- General computer skills
- Good organisational skills
- Good understanding of health and safety issues
- Team player be able to interact with all staff at all levels.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good process development and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data analysis, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or economics or proven background in the area of data analysis or similar field.
- Strong data extraction SQL, Python or other extraction tool skills, with a proven ability to manipulate large datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView, preferably Power BI.
- Experience with reporting/analysis tools such as Jet Reporting/Jet Analytics.
- 2-3 years of experience in a data analysis role with demonstrated business improvements from data insights communicated.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for solving complex problems with data insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
- A passion for improving customer experience and driving business outcomes.
