The Role

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Senior Infrastructure Engineering Manager who is committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of a global network infrastructure.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, working in a small team of engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies.

In this role you will be:

  • Managing a team of highly experienced engineers and network architects.
  • Accountable for the Strategy, Delivery, and Operations, of globally distributed infrastructure.
  • Setting OKRs and conducting performance management with the team.
  • Ensuring the continuous flow of work through the team to deliver on company targets.
  • Validating 3rd party solutions and systems are performant and cost efficient.
  • Driving the success of geo redundant connectivity solutions.
Requirements
  • People Management skills with an engineering background.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop the team.
  • Vendor negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Familiarity and experience with the following required: BGP, OSPF, IPSEC VPN, MPLS, VXLAN.
  • Firewalls – Fortinet, CheckPoint, Juniper, or similar.
  • Management of Hybrid cloud – Azure, AWS, Data Centre, Virtualization, Linux, Storage.
  • Contribute to and guide IP network infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Experience working in a NOC environment preferred.
  • Proven track record in working with small teams.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential.
  • Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service.
  • Ability to prioritise work tasks.
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
