Senior Quantity Surveyor

Attention Senior Quantity Surveyors in Dublin! My client is a leading Irish Main Contractor with over 100 years of consistent industry presence, renowned for delivering high-quality projects in Industrial, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, and Educational sectors.

They are now looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their team on a permanent basis.

You will be joining a well-established and highly regarded team, contributing to a wide range of prestigious, high-value projects across multiple sectors. With a strong pipeline of work ahead, this role will see you actively involved at all stages of project delivery — from early planning through to handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, manage, and present monthly Value Cost Reconciliation and Forecasting reports
  • Lead preparation and agreement of monthly project Payment Claims
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed Internal and External Project Cashflow forecasts
  • Manage Change Control processes, including identification, pricing, and negotiation of variations
  • Assess and quantify the impact of project delays and disruptions, providing detailed reports and solutions
  • Monitor and control all commercial and contractual aspects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as Commercial Lead on designated projects, representing the business at a senior level
  • Liaise closely with clients, client representatives, and design teams to maintain strong relationships and project alignment
  • Administer contract provisions in line with RIAI, GCC, and bespoke forms, ensuring compliance with all notification requirements
  • Lead procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, drafting and issuing subcontracts
  • Oversee commercial management of subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiation and agreement of final accounts
  • Ensure accurate project documentation and reporting to support decision-making and governance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a main contracting environment
  • Strong contractual and commercial acumen, with excellent attention to detail
  • Proven communication skills (written and verbal), with experience dealing directly with clients and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Track record of delivering high-quality, medium-to-large scale projects across a variety of sectors (Industrial, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Education)
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
