Role Summary:
Dawn Meats are looking to recruit a Logistics Associate Apprentice to join our team in Carrolls Cross Co. Waterford. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidates to develop a career progressing to a management position in supply chain, operations, logistics, ware house, process engineering or planning.
You will gain a Third Level apprenticeship qualification, experience with on-the-job training and the opportunity to earn while you learn.
Dawn Meats will pay your salary while you are being trained on-the-job and attend college off the job, and there are incremental salary increases aligned to achievement of agreed milestones within the programme.
The successful candidate will be based at one of our production facilities and will:
Develop productive working relationships with relevant stakeholders and departments within the business – this will include Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Despatch, Stores, Planning and Accounts - to ensure that the output and delivery of products are as per customer specifications.
Assist with the daily planning of food production, customer supply and movement of goods throughout Ireland, UK, and Europe; Liaise with all areas of Management across our sites and the Group to create a good working relationship.Gain a full understanding of all relevant roles and processes with Operations and Production gaining experiential on the job learning.
Assist the Management where necessary and taking on management responsibilities providing support and acting as a point of contact where appropriate.
Work with Site Management to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent organisation skills and time management.Ability to take ownership of queries/issues, bringing them to a successful conclusion; Enthusiastic attitude to the challenge of the role with a positive can-do approach to tasks.
Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision; Candidate must be able to work with others in cross-functional role & environment; Good IT Skills.
