About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Centralised Dealing - Senior Dealer to join Davy and work with the Wealth Management division.

Reporting to the Head of Order Book Management, the successful candidate will;
 •  Ensure timely and accurate management of all manual orders in line with Best EX requirements.
 •  Ensuring procedures and processes are followed in line with Governance, Compliance and Risk Management requirements.
 •  Be the first point of contact for all trading queries. Typical queries relate to market news, trading, settlement, FX, stock setup, system operation, error trade resolution, corporate actions.
 •  Executing FX trades.
 •  Ensure efficient handover to evening dealer.
 •  Testing in regard to any new upgrades to the system and review of test scripts with dedicated IS testing team.
 •  Contribute to organization of Davy Private Clients investment selection portfolio rebalancing trades, executing with minimum risk to Davy: managing FX exposure, counterparty risk, settlement risk, investment exposure, coordination of orders across all segments in Davy Private Clients.
 •  Contribute to organization of Davy Private Clients structured product transactions. Involved from inception to execution, acting as a point of contact from third party trading team, coordinating all orders from different segments, liaising with settlements on each order and transacting all secondary orders after product issued.
 •  Maintain relationships with all external brokers, while exploring new relationships to take advantage of new opportunities which may arise.
 •  Production of relevant MI to measure performance.
 •  Holiday cover including Bank Holidays where order books are required to be monitored.
 •  Comply with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role.

Requirements

About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

 •  Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar role
 •  In depth knowledge of their discipline and typically resolves problems using existing solutions
 •  Works independently and requires minimal guidance
 •  A Business/Finance Degree or equivalent
 •  Knowledge of Figaro and Infront a distinct advantage
 •  QFA qualification essential
 •  Accuracy and attention to detail
 •  Ability to work under pressure
 •  Excellent organizational skills
 •  A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a high level of enthusiasm
