Automation Engineer County Carlow
My client based in County Carlow is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team. The Automation Engineer will be working on large utility projects for clients nationwide.
You will need strong debugging skills with electrical/Instruments and computer knowledge, and the ability to deal with customer queries
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in control and automation designs for projects
• Responsible for Systems, Software and Electrical Drawings
• Supporting all aspects of the control systems within projects and ensuring all aspects are completed on time
• Design and programming of PLC/HMI control systems
• Design and implementation of SCADA systems
• Testing of control panels and automation systems
• Work on own initiative on smaller projects and work as part of a team on larger projects
• Liaise with the clients and Project Managers
• Liaise with system vendors to source automated solutions
Key Requirements
• Degree Level 8 in Engineering - Electrical, Automation and Control
• 5 years of post-qualification experience and a strong interest in automation engineering
• PLC Programming experience
• SCADA experience
• Previous experience in technical/hands-on roles and working with electrical/Instrument equipment
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems
• Previous relevant experience in water/power systems an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Must be highly proficient in spoken and written English
• In addition to problem-solving, project management ability is essential
• Ability to demonstrate strong customer relationship management skills
• Full, clean driving licence
