Setanta Vehicle Sales is hiring vehicle technicians, 2 for their Renault dealership based in Ballycoolin, Dublin and 2 for their Renault dealership based in Dublin on a full time basis, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, annual salary Euros 38,000.
Role responsibilities: carrying out engine servicing on Euro 4, 5 and 6 vehicles; carrying out statutory 13-week inspections on same vehicles; routine maintenance and repair including brakes, kingpins, bushes, springs, suspension parts etc; removal of gearboxes and clutch replacements, carry out electrical lighting and hydraulic repairs, carry out PDI's on new vehicles of all ranges and complete service documentation accurately.
Candidate requirements: proven experience as HGV technicians, relevant training and qualifications, strong understanding of HGV components and systems, diagnostic and problem solving skills, to be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, to be punctual, diligent and driven to learn and succeed, driven by quality workmanship and attention to safety.
One of the roles based in Dublin will also need in addition to the above, servicing, maintenance and repair of waste bin lifting systems both electrical and hydraulic; repair and maintenance of hydraulic elements of waste compactors on RCV's and waste skip trucks; willingness to carry out repairs in the Dublin workshop or on-site countrywide provided breakdown vans representing the company and Main dealer brand; willingness to attend further skills training both in house and in the UK and Holland.
