The Kepak Group are looking to recruit the right person for a permanent Payroll Administrator role to cover our manufacturing facility in McCarren Meats in Cavan. McCarren Meats Unlimited Company is probably the oldest traditional pig slaughtering, processing and bacon curing company in Ireland.
JOB TITLE: Payroll Administrator
JOB PURPOSE: The primary function of the role is to be process the payroll for 270+ weekly paid employees as well as provide administrative support to the Finance Team.
REPORTING TO: Financial Controller
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll
• TMS Management (Time and attendance)
• Daily Payroll Costing Report and Weekly Labour Costing Analysis
• Weekly payroll processing for 270+ employees on Sage Payroll and completing weekly reports
• Reconciling weekly payroll accounts and prepare necessary journal entries
• Dealing with all aspects of the payroll process - Starters & leavers, pensions, bonuses, holidays and other statutory and voluntary additions/deductions
• Preparation and filing payroll submissions on ROS
• End of year payroll processing
• Detailed Payroll analysis
• Dealing with employees to resolve their wage and tax queries
Finance Support
• Assisting the Finance team in weekly and monthly tasks
• Month-end Ledger routines within required deadlines
• Provide assistance in a busy finance department
• Other Ad-hoc projects.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:
• IPASS or similar Payroll Qualification would be beneficial, but not essential
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, PAYE/PRSI rules, and other payroll related processes.
KEY SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES / CORE COMPETENCIES:
• Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role
• Payroll experience essential
• Experience using Time Management Software and Sage Payroll
• Proficiency in accounting packages and Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / CORE BEHAVIOURS:
• Be results and performance driven;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Accuracy and attention to detail are vital skills required for this position
• An inquisitive nature and the ability to question the status quo
