Field Service Engineer

On behalf of my client based in Limerick, I am looking to fill a permanent position for a Field Service Engineer to service, commission and operate our fleet of water treatment equipment.

The primary equipment types include: mechanical vapor compression stills, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, ultrafiltration, softening, carbon-filtration and distribution systems which include pumps, valves, heat exchangers and instrumentation.

This position requires someone who is willing to travel, able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and controls equipment and can represent the company well.

Role requirements
 •  Interface with Customer and executing operating and maintenance tasks
 •  Commission company plants equipment
 •  Repair and maintain installed plants
 •  Fulfill role as operator for company plants as assigned
 •  Must meet customer’s expectation in quality of work and the hours put in towards speedy repair of equipment
 •  Provide technical training to clients and communicate customer feedback for future product developments
 •  Be able to read diagrams and work instructions
 •  Be able to write trip reports to include technical issues and complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
 •  Must have own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications / Requirements
 •  Degree or Diploma relating to Marine, Electrical and Mechanical fields desired
 •  Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC experience
 •  Knowledge of rotating equipment, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, heat exchangers and centrifugal compressors
 •  Ability to perform direct hands-on diagnostics and repairs (using hand tools, hand instruments, meters)
 •  Ability to read CAD prints and electrical diagrams desired
 •  A team player with excellent communication skills
 •  Willingness to learn new skills with the confidence to apply these in the field
 •  Ability to travel on short-notice and as needed, both nationally and internationally

While the role is primarily Monday - Friday, due to the critical nature of our products, occasional weekend work and overtime will be required
