The Role

Ecocem is shaping the future of low‑carbon cement with ambitions to deliver a 50% cut in CO₂ emissions from cement by 2030. We have an exciting opportunity for a 3 month Finance Internship, running from 1 June to 28 August 2026, offering hands‑on experience in market research, industry analysis, financial modelling, and strategic planning.

This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain insight into how Ecocem evaluates global market trends, builds business cases, and develops strategies to accelerate the decarbonisation of the cement sector. Working closely with the Strategy & Development team, you will support real‑world projects that contribute to shaping Ecocem’s future growth and impact.

This role is based in Dublin with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days per week onsite, Mon-Fri, 9am – 5:30pm.

Role Responsibilities

Finance Operations & Administration
  • Support the maintenance of accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with processing invoices and general accounting entries.
  • Help ensure financial data is complete, accurate, and up to date.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports, including invoices and balance sheet support.
  • Analyse financial data and help report on key findings.
  • Support the identification and monitoring of financial discrepancies.
Systems & Teams Support
  • Work with accounting and finance software systems.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Finance team as required.
  • Collaborate with team members across finance and the wider business.

Requirements

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Interest in finance, accounting, and business operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general data handling.
  • Previous exposure to accounting or financial systems is beneficial but not essential.

  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage tasks effectively.
