This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance.Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
This role will be to assist with administration, learning and working alongside experienced employees across the organisation within a busy healthcare providers office.The successful applicant will learn excellent communication and analytical skills, great planning and organisational skills, whilst learning about healthcare legislation, legal responsibilities within the healthcare industry and national quality standards.
Description
We provide carers to HSE Clients- normally older people.
The role will involve assisting with duties such as:- Customer service, working as part of a team.
- Answering calls.
- Sending emails to carers on direction from other staff members about client updates, updating carers on new
- Answering the phone professionally and taking messages.
- Scanning documents.
- Dealing with emails.
- uploading to our Operating system.
- Photocopying and printing documents.
- Following up new carers and requesting them to send in documents for their file.
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
Formal Training:
Microsoft Package( Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), OneTouch( uploading client visits and assigning Caregivers to those clients), OneTouch clocking in/out system( monitoring shifts), telephones, Internet Explorer etc.Children First training
Patient Manual handling
Informal Training: Access to other industry training and support for completing these courses if desired.
Dementia TrainingInfection Prevention training
Networking and Sales training
Customer Service training.
