Environmental, Health, Safety and Facilities Manager
CEL are recruiting a highly motivated and dynamic EHSF Manager who will be accountable for promoting a positive environmental and safety culture across our organisation, ensuring we operate to the highest standards with the appropriate tools and training and maintaining our manufacturing facilities as required.
Reporting to the group Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain the EHSF Manager will work in partnership with their peers across the company to ensure Best-in-Class performance on behalf of CEL and our customers. The role is directly responsible for providing effective ‘on-the-ground’ leadership to all staff across IRL / US sites to ensure adherence to appropriate legislation in all jurisdictions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and ensure compliance of an EHS strategy, conforming to ISO45001 and ISO14001.
- Ensure EHS strategy across jurisdictions is complementary while also compliant with individual codes.
- Establish an effective risk management process and advise on key business decisions to our site leadership.
- Create and report relevant KPI’s, ensuring the necessary actions are taken where targets are not being met.
- Manage accident investigations, implementing robust corrective and preventive actions as required.
- Create a communication loop for all employees providing clear information on EHS issues and lessons learned.
- Enact an internal audit program, ensuring CEL operates in compliance with required EHS regulations.
- Act as the company representative during external audits, either customer or regulatory.
- Assists personnel in understanding their EHS obligations and how to fulfil their responsibilities.
- Implement and monitor a comprehensive EHS employee training program, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Assume full responsibility for all Facilities Management activities across our manufacturing facilities in Ireland.
- Co-ordinate and manage maintenance activities identified during internal audits for CEL manufacturing sites.
- Drive behavioural change, implementing companywide performance improvement programs and practices.
- Provide day-to-day operational support on a proactive basis on all EHS related matters.
- Engage with external stakeholders throughout a project lifecycle and obtain objective program feedback.
- Develop and manage the EHS operational budget reporting discrepancies as required.
- Support the EHS training, coaching and development of our teams across operations and client sites.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Degree educated with 3 – 5 years’ experience at senior management level.
- Demonstrated organizational, leadership and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and adept at identifying and solving issues.
- Effective communications / presentation skills and ability to advise on EHS legislation.
- Proven EHS auditing experience both in operational and remote sites.
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally – approx. 10% travel requirement.
- Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated and good time management.
