Kitchen Porter – Hospital & Healthcare Catering | Dublin 18
3Q Recruitment is recruiting Kitchen Porters to work in a healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 18. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and supporting food service operations in a clinical environment.
The workplace is accessible via the Green Line Luas and Dublin Bus services.
This position is suitable for candidates with experience in kitchen porter, catering assistant or food service roles who are seeking daytime work in a structured healthcare setting.
The Role
You will work as part of a healthcare catering team, supporting the safe and efficient running of the kitchen. The role involves maintaining hygiene standards and assisting with food preparation and service as required.
Main Duties
Maintain cleanliness across kitchen areas, equipment and work surfacesWash dishes, cookware and service equipment
Assist with basic food preparation tasks
Support the set-up and restocking of ward pantries and beverage stations
Record temperatures and assist with HACCP food safety checks
Follow infection control and hygiene procedures
Work with chefs and catering staff to support daily operations
Requirements
6–12 months’ experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant or similar roleExperience in hospital or healthcare kitchens is desirable
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP
Legal right to work in Ireland
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references
Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Pay & Conditions
€17.53 per hourDouble pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Daytime shifts only (typically 7:00am–6:30pm)
Monday to Sunday roster, depending on service requirements
