About the Role:My client is seeking a Site Quality Lead. This is a key position responsible for driving and maintaining best-in-class quality and food safety standards. The role involves coordinating quality activities across the site, liaising with teams, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
You will have overall accountability for food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management and Food Safety Systems.
- Act as the main site contact for customer visits, audits, and internal inspections.
- Provide quality guidance for product development and innovation
- Lead investigations into customer issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, review, and manage the food safety plan; act as Food Safety & HACCP Team Leader.
- Develop and maintain the site's Food Defence plan, including vulnerability assessments and mitigation strategies (Food Defence & TACCP Team Leader).
- Report on quality performance to the Head of Quality and Site Manager.
- Ensure timely closure of technical issues, NCs, CAPAs, supplier issues, hygiene, documentation, and pest control.
- Maintain FSSC and DAFM certification standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in Quality Management within Food, Pharma, or a related sector.
- 3rd-level science qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
- Team player with a performance-driven, self-motivated, and proactive approach.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
