We are seeking an experienced bilingual professional to lead our payable operations and legal review processes with precision and independence.

Role Overview:
This is a hybrid role that requires a deep understanding of both finance and contract law, good command of / fluency in Chinese (Mandarin), and experience handling cross-border supplier operations, especially in the mobile technology supply chain.

The successful candidate must be capable of working with minimal supervision, managing sensitive supplier relationships, and mitigating commercial and legal risks through meticulous document handling.

Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage the end-to-end accounts payable function for Chinese suppliers, including invoice validation, PO matching, payment scheduling, and exception handling.
Liaise directly with Chinese suppliers to resolve discrepancies, enforce payment terms, and maintain a strong communication channel.
Conduct detailed legal reviews of supply agreements, framework contracts and service-level agreements to identify liabilities, compliance risks and negotiation points.
Ensure contracts are properly structured, legally compliant and aligned with company interests and local/international regulations.
Coordinate closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure financial transactions reflect operational realities.
Maintain accurate records of payables, supplier balances and legal documents for audit readiness and financial reporting.

Monitor regulatory changes and import/export controls that may impact supplier contracts or payment processes.

Required Qualifications: Good command of Chinese (Mandarin) and proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Minimum 3 years of experience in legal contract review role
Strong working knowledge of Chinese commercial practices and cross-border financial compliance.
At least a Diploma in Accounting, with preference given to candidates who also hold a legal qualification.
General proficiency with accounting platforms.

Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritise multiple workstreams, and handle confidential data with discretion.

Desirable/Preferred Attributes: Prior experience working in a multinational environment managing supplier networks in China.

Ability to translate Chinese contracts and financial documentation into English with legal and financial accuracy.
Familiarity with European VAT/tax treatment for goods imported from China.
