Senior Credit Risk Analyst - Cork

New opportunity in Cork for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join an established finance team. This role is ideal for an analytical, commercially minded professional with strong credit assessment experience and a passion for driving informed, strategic decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for new and existing customers, delivering clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Monitor customer creditworthiness, establish and review credit limits, and define payment terms in alignment with internal policies.
  • Analyse audited financial statements and sales forecasts to support robust credit decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Controllership, and Treasury to strengthen customer relationships and support business objectives.
  • Manage and oversee credit block release processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and service level standards.
  • Contribute to the Credit & Collections function by promoting best practices, driving process improvements, and providing team support as required.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in credit risk management.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical skills and the ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent communication abilities-verbal, written, and interpersonal-for effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting systems or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Exposure to ERP systems with a willingness to enhance analytical capabilities within these platforms.
