We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accounts Assistant on behalf of one our clients based in Kildare. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, with a strong focus on production analysis, direct cost analysis, and nominal ledger reconciliations.

Hours: 8:30–17:00 / 8:00–16:30 / 9:00–17:30
Holidays: 20 days
Hybrid: Up to 2 days WFH (office-based preferred)
Be part of a collaborative Finance Team of 9.
Key Responsibilities: Production Analysis
Collaborate with operations teams to gather and validate production data.Consolidate information from ERP systems, production logs, and operational sources.
Prepare weekly productivity reports, including yields, waste, and cost trends.
Analyse output vs cost to highlight variances and recommend efficiencies.
Direct Costs Analysis
Monitor and analyse direct costs (raw materials, storage, freight, utilities).Perform variance analysis against budgets/forecasts and investigate anomalies.
Ensure correct cost coding and alignment with cost centres.
Support cost modelling and pricing strategies.
Nominal Ledger Reconciliations
Complete monthly reconciliations (accruals, prepayments, stock).Assist with journal preparation and postings.
Support audit preparation and respond to queries.
Reporting & Insights
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations highlighting cost trends and savings opportunities.Develop Excel/Power BI tools to improve cost visibility.
Analyse sales performance by customer, product, and region.
Additional Support
Assist with month-end/year-end processes, management accounts, and board packs.Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
Provide backup support for other finance roles and participate in improvement projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Part-qualified or fully qualified in AAT/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).Minimum 3 years’ finance experience, ideally in a manufacturing/production environment.
Advanced Excel skills (essential).
ERP system experience (Insight is an advantage).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
