Opportunity Overview:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join a busy Group Finance team as a Group Financial Accountant. This role is central to the preparation of consolidated management and statutory accounts, financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial processes across multiple legal entities—both domestic and international.

Contract length - 12 month FTC

Location - North Cork

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare consolidated monthly management accounts and board reports.
  • Compile annual statutory financial statements for group and subsidiary entities.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and review divisional financial submissions.
  • Produce cash flow forecasts, budgets, and capital expenditure reports.
  • Manage VAT and Corporation Tax filings and liaise with external tax advisors.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers across group entities.
  • Liaise with internal and external audit teams.
  • Support department heads with costings and monthly reporting.
  • Contribute to policy development and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, automation, and finance transformation efforts.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in financial consolidation and statutory reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (Oracle Essbase, SmartView an advantage).
  • Advanced Excel and strong overall IT skills.
  • Organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with an analytical mindset and commercial awareness.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across functions and build relationships.
