We are looking for a skilled Plant Fitter to join a dedicated maintenance team.

If you’re experienced, motivated, and take pride in keeping heavy vehicles and plant equipment in top condition, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs, construction plant, and machinery.
• Diagnose and fix faults both on-site and in the workshop.
• Conduct pre-use inspections and safety checks to ensure all equipment is compliant.
• Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and defect reports.
• Coordinate with site managers to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and consumables efficiently.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, including occasional out-of-hours support.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified HGV Mechanic or Plant Fitter (National Craft Certificate or equivalent).
• Proven experience with HGVs and construction plant maintenance and repair.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full clean driving licence (HGV licence desirable).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental procedures in construction/civil engineering.

Desirable Extras:

• Experience with hydraulic systems, welding, and fabrication.
• Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.
• Familiarity with road surfacing or civil engineering equipment.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (flexible for occasional overtime or emergency call-outs).
