Account Manager - Motor Finance / Financial Services | Permanent
We are currently partnering with a leading provider of motor finance solutions in Ireland to recruit an experienced Account Manager for their Southern Region territory. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected financial services business that works in close collaboration with a strong network of motor dealer partners.
This is a field-based, relationship-driven role where you'll be responsible for managing key accounts across the region, delivering commercial targets, and supporting dealer partners with the tools, insights, and training they need to grow their finance penetration and product performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned dealer partners in the region.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and business partner.
- Develop and implement territory sales strategies to maximise commercial performance.
- Monitor and drive achievement of sales targets and KPIs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Conduct structured, value-led dealer visits and reviews, using data and insight to guide discussions.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across additional products such as service plans, GAP insurance, warranties, and more.
- Track competitor activity and use market insights to strengthen your proposition.
- Maintain CRM records accurately (Salesforce or similar platform).
- Deliver training and coaching to dealer staff, working closely with internal training functions.
- Ensure all activity complies with relevant regulatory and internal standards.
- Escalate any potential risks or issues relating to dealer conduct or performance.
Requirements:
- APA or CIP qualification is a strong advantage.
- Strong background in relationship management, ideally in a field-based account management role.
- Previous experience in motor, finance, or dealer-facing environments highly desirable.
- Exposure to credit reviews or lending decisions is a plus.
- Commercially savvy with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce).
- Highly organised and able to work independently on the road.
