Join our industry-leading Construction team in our Cork and Dublin offices and become part of our enriching Graduate Programme. This role as a Graduate Construction Engineer, presents a unique opportunity to experience client interaction and on-site presence, minimizing desk-based tasks through active engagement with clients and construction sites.

As a member of our team, you'll collaborate within a diverse and inclusive group of Designers, Architects, Construction professionals, and Engineers. In this transformative two-year programme your focus will be on the technical and practical aspects of projects, with a particular emphasis on those related to the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences industry.

As a participant in our Graduate Programme, you'll receive mentorship support, and comprehensive training in technical and non-technical skills. Engage with a supportive cohort of graduates and lay the foundation for a successful and fulfilling career.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with our prestigious clients, global brand leaders in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
  • Work alongside a dedicated group of construction professionals who are passionate about delivering intricate facilities.
  • Attend job and construction meetings in-office and onsite.
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing site safety and addressing any nonconformities.
  • Assist with the overall management and delivery of construction management services.
  • Ensure all work under your supervision is being carried out in line with IPS and client specifications.
  • Support the Project Manager in the evaluation of vendor and subcontractor invoices.
  • Proactively champion and attain the highest standards in health and safety throughout all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Embrace a “hands-on” approach to managing your work – developing your technical skills and experience.
  • Likely to require temporary relocation within the UK or Europe during live project periods.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in construction management and site execution.
  • Willingness to expand expertise through ongoing learning about other engineering disciplines.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on fostering a communicative and inclusive workplace.
  • Commercial awareness or aptitude to develop this.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe for project delivery.
