Are you a commercially driven technical sales professional with a background in Mechanical Engineering or Power Transmission products?
We are seeking an ambitious Account Manager to join a leading engineering solutions provider, supporting customers across Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise with consultative selling, helping customers identify the right solutions while driving revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
You'll inherit an established customer base while also developing new business opportunities across a wide range of industrial sectors.
What You'll Be Doing
Business Development & Account Management- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers across Ireland.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within target industries.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service and retention.
- Provide technical advice and support on mechanical power transmission solutions.
- Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and commercial solutions.
- Support customers throughout the sales process from initial enquiry through to project completion.
- Deliver against sales, revenue, and gross margin targets.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate forecasting.
- Track opportunities, quotations, and customer activities through CRM systems.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
What We're Looking For
Essential- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in technical sales, account management, or business development.
- Knowledge of mechanical power transmission products, industrial equipment, hydraulics, gearboxes, drives, motors, or related technologies.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own territory.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data.
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, automation, engineering, or heavy equipment sectors.
