Summary:
My client, a multinational in Galway are hiring an IT / Network Administrator to support and maintain their internal network and systems. This role is responsible for installation, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting across LAN/WAN, servers, firewalls, cloud services and end-user devices in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP and Wi-Fi networks
- Maintain and secure LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routine and emergency maintenance
- Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Intune & Azure
- Perform network analysis, capacity planning and environment testing
- Deploy and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices and related IT hardware
- Monitor and manage backups, antivirus, VPNs, IDS/IPS and email security
- Maintain IT asset inventory and assist with IT procurement
- Produce troubleshooting reports and assist with audits and compliance documentation
Requirements:
- 2+ years in Network Admin / Systems Admin / IT Infrastructure role
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS, VLANs, routing and switching
- Experience with Cisco firewalls/routers/VPNs or similar network solutions
- Hands-on with Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server and Microsoft 365
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
- Relevant degree or certifications (CCNA, Network+, MCSA, Security+ an advantage)
