Are you exceptional at Excel and confident working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment?Our client, a growing and supportive organisation in Swords, is seeking a Billing Executive to join their finance team on a 6-month temporary basis (with potential to extend or shorten depending on business needs).
This is a varied role involving billing, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance — best suited to someone detail-oriented, structured, and highly skilled in Excel.
Location: Swords, North Co. Dublin (Hybrid – onsite during training)Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm (30 mins lunch)
Salary: €30,000 – €35,500 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute invoices on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Reconcile balances and process payments against third-party accounts.
Administer accounts payable/receivable and reconcile client accounts daily.
Use advanced Excel (SUMIF, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas) to manipulate and analyse large data sets, prepare reports, and support audits.
Maintain and update finance journals, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
Complete monthly audits to ensure all required documentation is obtained and recorded.
Prepare and distribute weekly and year-end financial reports (including ROD reports, tax reports, etc.) using Excel and Google Sheets.
Assist with compliance checks, audits, and GDPR record maintenance.
Support debt collection processes, including implementing and monitoring payment plans.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth workflows and excellent client service.
Work under strict deadlines to ensure billing, payroll, and reporting are completed on schedule.
Skills & Experience:
Advanced Excel proficiency is essential (comfortable with formulas, data manipulation, and reporting).Experience in billing, accounts, or financial administration (payroll exposure an advantage).
Proven ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive deadlines.
Highly structured, organised, and detail-driven.
Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ideally Sage or similar systems.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
Clear communicator with strong customer service orientation.
Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently within a structured environment.
Previous experience with compliance, audits, or GDPR data handling is desirable.
