Financial Accountant (Contract)

11 month contract | Dublin, hybrid

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our clients Dublin-based finance team. This role is ideal for a driven, high-energy accounting professional with multinational experience.

The successful candidate will manage multiple EMEA entities, oversee statutory reporting, and support Mergers & Acquisitions and liquidation processes. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role that requires adaptability, strong business judgment, and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage financial accounting and compliance for multiple EMEA entities under US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Prepare corporation tax and VAT returns, statutory financial statements, and support audits.
• Oversee M&A activities and the liquidation of dormant entities.
• Review work from outsourced partners and ensure compliance timelines are met.
• Support the Finance team in the design, testing, and rollout of financial reporting systems and processes.
• Lead process improvement initiatives for scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and compliance support across international entities (France, Algeria, Greece, Denmark, Spain, UK, Israel).

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• 2+ years post-qualification experience in accounting within large, fast-growing multinational organizations.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and EMEA entities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with local GAAP.
• Solid Excel and analytical skills; experience with Oracle ERP or similar systems preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and entity liquidation.
• Exposure to annual compliance and audits.
• IFRS knowledge is advantageous.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
