Join our award-winning team at The Connacht Hotel as a Full-Time Receptionist. We're seeking someone who can work Monday through Sunday with flexible hours.
As the first point of contact for our guests, the role of Receptionist holds immense significance in shaping their initial impressions of our establishment. A warm smile and a welcoming demeanour are essential in setting the tone for their entire stay.
Whether it's helping with check-in procedures or providing information about our services, the Receptionist plays a pivotal role in ensuring guests feel valued and attended to from the moment they step through our doors. By embodying professionalism, courtesy, and attentiveness, the Receptionist cultivates an atmosphere of hospitality and sets the stage for a memorable experience that exceeds expectations.
Responsibilities: Warmly greet all guests and visitors upon arrival.
Act as the primary point of contact for guests, managing their entire stay experience.Handle guest inquiries efficiently and courteously, including coordinating with external services like taxis and tours.
Address all complaints promptly, ensuring they're logged with the Duty Manager and Guest Relations Manager.
Maintain customer accounts and handle payments according to hotel and company standards.
Support reservations by handling inquiries professionally, using them as sales and upselling opportunities.
Stay updated on current sales promotions.
Ensure security of guests' room keys.
Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally, operating the switchboard as needed.
Keep reception area tidy and inviting for guests, including playing background music and displaying newspapers and fruits.
Adhere to company policies regarding fire safety, health, safety, and security.
Arrive on time for all shifts.

Professional Requirements and Experience: Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
Previous experience in a busy hotel environment preferred.Familiarity with Hotsoft software is advantageous.
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
