A well-established and innovative manufacturing company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the South & West of Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a strong network in the Construction and/or Engineering sectors to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the Construction and Engineering sectors.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans for key accounts.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with production and supply chain teams.
  • Become an expert in the company’s value proposition, products, and services to maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Accurately update CRM and ERP systems with enquiries, quotes, and orders.
  • Provide monthly performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Business Development role within the Construction or Engineering sectors.
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly.
  • Collaborative team player with cross-functional communication skills.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Professional, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP systems.
