Senior HR Manager (14-Month Fixed Term Contract) - NTMA

Our client is a highly regarded public sector organisation at the centre of Ireland's economic and financial infrastructure, managing a complex portfolio of national responsibilities and supporting long-term strategic objectives across multiple business areas.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior HR Manager to join a high-performing People function on a 14-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of HR, this role partners closely with senior stakeholders to deliver both strategic and operational HR support aligned to organisational priorities.

Acting as a trusted advisor, the successful candidate will support key people initiatives across employee relations, talent acquisition, engagement, reward, organisational development, performance management, and HR strategy.

This role will suit an experienced HR Business Partner who thrives in a collaborative, commercially focused environment and is comfortable balancing strategic partnering with hands-on delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with senior leadership to deliver HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and providing commercially focused guidance and challenge
  • Supporting workforce planning and recruitment strategies
  • Managing complex employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance)
  • Coaching managers on best practice and ensuring consistency and compliance
  • Supporting HR policy development in line with legislation and best practice
  • Collaborating on reward, benefits, and career framework initiatives
  • Contributing to engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives
  • Using people data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive improvement
  • Leveraging HR systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors) for reporting and insights
  • Supporting HR projects, including transformation and process improvement
  • Acting as a senior member of the HR team, contributing to broader strategic initiatives

Requirements:

  • 6+ years' experience in a HR Business Partner or Senior Generalist role
  • CIPD qualified with a relevant third-level degree
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations issues
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and supporting change initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Experience with HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors desirable)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Experience in reward, organisational development, or HR transformation is advantageous
