A highly regarded Irish commercial law firm is seeking a proactive and experienced Risk and Compliance Executive to join its in-house team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a senior leadership team in a collaborative and supportive environment, contributing to a robust culture of compliance and effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Compliance & Risk Manager in maintaining firm-wide compliance with regulatory obligations and internal frameworks.
- Manage personal data records and provide day-to-day support on GDPR and data protection matters.
- Assist in the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Compliance and Risk Framework.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and risk reviews; assist with reporting to senior management and boards.
- Support internal training initiatives and help promote a strong culture of compliance.
- Perform onboarding checks, including AML/CDD, and set up clients in relevant systems.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the professional services sector (e.g., AML/CFT, GDPR, Solicitors Acts, LSRA).
- Conduct due diligence on suppliers, processors, and third-party service providers.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a compliance or risk management role, ideally within a law firm or regulated professional services environment.
- LCI-qualified or actively pursuing a Professional Diploma in Compliance (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, data protection, and legal regulatory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills.
- Confident working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
