About the Role
An established international school in Dublin is entering an exciting phase of campus development and is seeking an experienced Facilities and Operations Manager to join on a fixed‑term basis.
This senior role will lead a high‑profile capital development project — the construction of a new theatre facility — while also ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of day‑to‑day campus operations throughout the build period.
Key Responsibilities
Campus Development & Project Leadership- Act as Project Lead for the delivery of a new theatre build, managing the project from planning through to completion
- Oversee contractors, consultants, budgets, timelines, and stakeholders
- Work closely with regional project leadership to ensure delivery to agreed standards
- Lead all facilities management functions across the campus
- Line‑manage the Facilities and Health & Safety Manager
- Ensure buildings, services, and infrastructure are maintained to high standards throughout construction
- Embed a strong health and safety culture across the school community
- Ensure compliance with Irish health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Oversee risk assessments and site safety during live construction works
- Develop and implement a campus mobility and transport strategy
- Manage safe drop‑off and pick‑up arrangements during reduced parking availability
- Maintain detailed traffic and pedestrian safety plans
- Act as the main liaison with landlords, local authorities, planning bodies, and external contractors
- Manage operational and project budgets, including forecasting and cost control
- Ensure procurement processes are robust, compliant, and cost‑effective
- Ensure comprehensive handover documentation is in place on contract completion
- Leave strong systems and processes to support long‑term campus operations
- Background in facilities management, operations, health & safety, or capital project delivery
- Demonstrable experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects
- Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and health & safety legislation
- Proven experience managing budgets, contractors, and service providers
- Relevant professional qualification desirable (e.g. NEBOSH, IWFM, PRINCE2, PMP)
- Solutions‑focused, practical, and confident working in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Comfortable working in a fixed‑term, project‑driven role
